In
1965 the original owner of our Pharmacy, Phil
Ciaravella, opened for business. Over the years
Phil helped to build a patient base of several original
residents of Carrollwood, some of which are still
patients of ours! At that time Dale Mabry was a
two-lane highway. There were very few homes north
of Busch Boulevard. The pharmacy was known for
having an old-fashioned fountain and restaurant, which
was one of the few places to eat on North Dale Mabry.
After 21 years in business, Phil sold the Pharmacy in
1986 to Dan Fucarino (his second cousin). Since
then some things have remained the same.
Old-fashioned customer service and a dedication to
treating patients with dignity and care. However,
because of the changing face of healthcare and the
onslaught of chain competition (6 chains within one
mile and one in the parking lot!), our pharmacy
began to find a niche that would sustain the business in
this hostile business environment.
Dan began to specialize in Medical Equipment and
Compounded Medication. After many years of
cultivating this new area, we formed a separate company
that handles compounded prescriptions only (Carrollwood
Compounding Center).
Our mission in both businesses is the same. "To
provide our patients with the best service, with the
friendliest staff and for a fair price." This
is a tall order for any pharmacy, but our dedicated
staff is committed to giving you unequaled service.
Our staff works very hard to ensure that you have a very
pleasurable experience. Our aim is to have you
feel like you are special to us, because you are!
We also hope that you would tell your friends about your
experience. We can't buy that kind of advertising. |
